Guinness is bringing former Premier League footballer, Rio Ferdinand, to Nairobi from 13th to 15th December to engage in a series of activities and events with football lovers.
Whilst here, he will be the guest of honour at the Guinness Fanzone on Uhuru Gardens on Saturday 15th December for an afternoon of football and entertainment. Some of the matches scheduled to take place include The Citizens facing The Toffees as Spurs will be facing The Clarets.

As part of the activities, the former Red Devil’s centre back will visit Kenya with Guinness, where he will spend time meeting and interacting with football fans who have shown they go the extra mile when it comes to demonstrating their passion for the beautiful game. The ‘Guinness Meet Rio Ferdinand’ national consumer promotion will offer lucky consumers a chance to interact with the legend during his visit.
International act Romain Virgo will headline the star studded line-up which will also include Jua Cali, Khaligraph Jones, Naiboi, Fena Gitu and Timmy T-dat. Deejays for the day will include DJ Hassan, DJ Andie, DJ Kriss Darlin and DJ Crème de la Crème who will ensure fans are entertained through-out the night.
The football viewing area will have three Mega High Definition Screens with lots of Guinness merchandise giveaways. There will also be a gaming area with top video games and foosball. In addition to this, there will be a Guinness inspired cocktails and food at the food court area.
To be a part of the ‘Guinness Fanzone’, consumers will be required to purchase tickets at www.ticketsasa.com which will be retailing for 1,500 Kshs for regular and 4,000 Kshs for VIP. The tickets will be redeemable for either 2 Guinness cans or 2 Guinness cocktails at the entrance gates. The ticket provides entry to the Fanzone and its activities.
