The highly anticipated Chronology World Tour brought Nairobi to a standstill with Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx bringing an almost three hour one-of-a-kind performance (which we all wished he could extend) as part of his worldwide tour of his album dubbed #ChronologyWorldTour
The Jamaican Star played alongside his endeared Zinc Fence Redemption Band as thousands of fans filled the regular and V.I.P section giving the faithful revellers what is said to be one of the best live performances yet.
A number of sets were done by Reggae Djs before Chronixx got on stage with the most notable set being the one done by Mc Teargas as he hyped the crowd to songs like ‘Real Warrior’ by Turbulence which really took me back to my primary school days!
One of the more interesting performances of the night came when Kenyan rising stars Rekless, Seska, Swat and Zilla came on stage to perform their viral internet hit ‘Lamba lolo’, Decimal Records signee Brian Nadra and P-Unit performed several of their hit songs like ‘You guy, Chocha, Wekaweka and Una’ giving the crowd some mega energy vibes!
As the crowd was getting impatient, Zinc Redemption band begun setting up their instruments. Of course you could tell the crowd became over excited as G Money of Homeboyz Radio walked in to usher Chronixx.
In a span of a few seconds, He was on stage beginning his set with some jams from his first album ‘Dread and Terrible’ . On stage his energy was well balanced and you could tell that he is a world class performer as the band also complimented him in his performances. In his set he covered popular hits like ‘Here comes Trouble’ , ‘Smile’ , ‘They don’t know’, ‘Black is beautiful’ , ‘Who knows’ , ‘Access granted’ and of course ‘Skankin sweet’ ❤

In between his set he took sometime to welcome H-art The Band and did a reggae rendition of their smash hit song ‘Uliza Kiatu’. Chronixx continued with his set performing jams from his Chronology album and closed the show with the mellow tune ‘Legend’
The show turned out to be very successful and unlike other V.I.P sections in other events, this one was actually worth its price. It will be very hard for us to get another experience like this but we hope that Kenyan event organizers and artists can learn a thing or two from the Chronixx event.
